Introduction to Signal Processing
Prentice Hall - 1995

Reference Book
refer.gif (1541 byte)This new, fresh and pleasant book covers any contemporary aspect of the fundamentals of signal processing. Not only filters, DFT and FFT , transforms, but also the decimation and oversampling processes, and typical musical effects and tricks, like waveform Generators, Delays, Echoes, Reverbs, Flangers, Phasers and so on. It does not neglect also audio A/D and D/A subjects, in a very up-to-date (for a book) way. A candidate for your "livre de chevet".

Discrete-Time Signal Processing
Prentice Hall Press - 1989

Reference Book
refer.gif (1541 byte)It is a classical book, covering any signal processing topic like quantization, z-transforms, DFT and FFT transforms, and in-deep numerical filtering. But you can find some other classical topic like Hilbert transforms, and a discussion of the omeomorphic  signal processing (the famous "CEPSTRUM"). It is a basic book, and none involved in the signal-processing field can ignore it. But we confess to find it a little boring. May be because it is an elderly in the field, or because of its very long explanations about formalism, and very few insights on concepts and ideas.

Digital Signal Processing: Principles, Algorithms, and Applications
Prentice Hall Press - 1996

Reference Book
refer.gif (1784 bytes)Is fame is to be a good introductory book which covers the fundamentals of the signal processing. Students like its clear and straightforward explanations. A very important book on Signal processing.

Digital Signal Processing Demystified
Independent Pub Group Bk&Cd-Rom edition - 1997

FOR THE VERY BEGINNER
Not Classified
timbro.gif (1788 bytes) An easy, gentle and practical introduction to Digital Signal Processing. Within the book you will find a software DSP laboratory with which you will do make experiments (FFT, Filtering, and so on). The book is very introductory, so do not look for in-deep explanations or design methods. Unfortunately, demystifying Signal Processing it isn't so easy. For beginners.
